I Observe, I Listen, I Speak
Learning a second language is both receptive and expressive. Children can gradually adapt & develop their listening skills as well as their communication skills when learning a new language.
In our online curriculum, children’s learning is stimulated with music, rhythm, stories, visuals and movement.
Blessed with supportive parents, the school was able to use Seesaw platform to follow through our students’ learning as well as allowing them to exhibit their acquired skills.
Stories, artifacts, relationships and plants—these are the units of inquiry of the Junior Kinder pupils this school year. They had fun reciting rhymes based on familiar children’s stories “龟兔赛跑”. They proudly showed their precious personal stuff like toys, pillows and blankets while singing the song “宝贝“. They were taught new vocabularies like “家人,朋友,同学,老师“ to be able to express their relationships with relevant people in their lives. And learning about the parts of the plants ”种子,根,茎,叶子花和果实“ came easy as the pupils exchanged the new words into the nursery rhyme “头肩膀膝盖脚”.
