“Good morning class!”
Bright voices flitter through speakers as children begin to file into the virtual classroom. Teachers make sure to greet the children, sometimes accompanied by their parents or their guardians to help ensure that the children’s attention does not falter. Such is how classes are conducted in the new normal, with school openings hampered by the ever-present threat of the novel coronavirus.
To help students learn shapes, teachers encouraged students to play a riveting game of Bring Me. Students brought in different toys around the house that corresponded to the shapes the teachers instructed.
Toys are incorporated into the learning process as a way for students to be able to manipulate and actively interact with the concepts they are learning. While parents and guardians help to keep the child focused on the task, helping to facilitate adorable bonding moments and make the learning process that much more rewarding for the kids.
