Using Simulations for Interactive Learning
It is difficult to make science a more engaging subject for students, especially since most learning activities utilize classroom discussions and filling out worksheets. Thus, students were invited to explore through simulation while answering guide questions in Google Forms to create memorable learning experiences. In fact, there is a wealth of available resources and simulations online that can cover a vast range of topics not just in chemistry but also in physics.
For Junior and Senior High School students, a molecule builder simulation and an atom builder simulation were used to allowing them to drag individual atoms or subatomic particles together to form different molecules or atoms. These are particularly useful considering atoms and molecules are not something that can be seen with the naked eye.
