Three of our IB-PYP (International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program) learner profiles are being an inquirer, open-minded, and caring. To start the school year right, our Grade 6 Resilience class underwent the Human Bingo or IBingo activity wherein they would get to know the cultural background of their classmates. The students were given IBingo sheets with statements like, “I can translate English to Chinese” and they had to find classmates who could do this and then ask them to sign the sheet. This was done during their UOI (Unit of Inquiry – Science and Social Studies) subject.
After they completed the sheets, they collated their data and made a bar graph charting the commonalities of the students. The bar graph activity was part of their Numeracy subject.
