HCHS Entrepreneurship Week 2024

HCHS Entrepreneurship Week 2024

Hope Christian High School’s ‘Entrepreneurship Week’ was held on May 8-9, 2024 by the school’s Grade 12 ABM strand. More specifically, it was a summer-themed food bazaar entitled “Summah-Summah”, wherein the 13-member strand put up four small businesses with the primary goal of showcasing their innovative food products to the whole school. The first business, Combonada, showcased their creativity through dessert-flavored empanadas, different from the regular, savory ones. The second dessert group, Fruitstillas elevated pastillas by adding fruit flavors to the mix. Going into the savory portion, OniFusion Co. made an impact on the onigiri industry by transforming the classic Japanese rice ball experience to include international flavors. On the other hand, Pasta Euphorica changed the pasta game by allowing customers to customize their own pasta, from the type of pasta to the type of sauce and toppings. The whole event was organized by the Grade 12 ABM students, under the company name “Minnovate”, with the guidance of their teacher, Mr. Karl Solrac Lim. On top of managing the company’s Summah-Summah event, they also had to organize their own small businesses. This led the students to not only gain experience on managing a business, but it helped them acquire knowledge regarding the challenges in managing a business and the strategies to mitigate or improve them as well. Through the event, it was evident that one of the main objectives of the event was accomplished: students were able to develop essential skills needed to be an entrepreneur, such as management skills, cooperation, social skills, time management, and creativity. #HopeChristianHighSchool #HCHS #EntrepWeek #FoodBazaar #entrepreneur #EntrepreneurshipWeek #EntrepWeek2024 #SummahSummah #Minnovate #ABM #TGBTG #ToGodBeTheGloryHCHS Entrepreneurship Week 2024
